Russo's people are everywhere- readying those delicious bounties from the earth for those of us who love to shop there.

Outside, they are watering plants, loading trucks, polishing apples and stacking Christmas trees.

Inside, they are making soup, sorting cheese, baking biscotti, designing bouquets, ordering supplies, stocking shelves and tending to the customers.

They are behind the scenes, in the cold rooms, in the office or in the kitchen- inspecting produce, placing orders, meeting with growers, cooking food and managing the operations that make the whole thing work.

They are Hispanic and Irish and Asian and Italian and more.
They work throughout the day and night.
They know their jobs and make it possible for you to get what you want. They make shopping at Russo's more than a chore- rather, a place to enjoy.

It is my hope that these photos will reflect the spirit of this very special place that Tony Russo and his family and workers have developed- the spirit of Tony Russo himself- a spirit of commitment to quality and a presence of good humor- bringing beautiful seasonal plants, fruits, vegetables and prepared foods to all of those who enjoy shopping here.
